S97 Mississauga Hounds Leadership Group

GM @ace_five_ and I are proud to announce the leadership group for the S97 Mississauga Hounds!

 

Captain - Kurt Bachmann @Blutch

This is Bachmann's third season with the Hounds. He is known for putting his body on the line through his crushing hits and shot blocking. Bachmann is a formidable presence in the locker room and is always willing to help out the new players. This is a well-deserved promotion from alternate captain. He was a very important part of our Founder's Cup winning season in S96 and we are looking to repeat with Bachmann as the face of the Hounds.

 

Alternate Captain - Hank Smith @Jett88

Another member of the S96 winning Hounds, Smith has earned his way into the leadership group. Drafted 23rd overall, the Hounds knew the type of player Smith was going to be in his rookie season, and he certainly delivered. Smith was a workhorse and never shied away from the tough areas on the ice, much like fellow defenseman Bachmann. We are excited to see what Smith can do in his sophomore year.

 

Alternate Captain - Filip Zinek @FiZi

Zinek is an experienced veteran who was instrumental to the success of the Hounds last season. Coming off two seasons in the now defunct VHLE, Zinek integrated into the Hounds seamlessly. His hard work certainly showed when he lead the team in points in our run for the Founder's Cup. His leadership and experience will be leaned on as we enter the season with a full team.

Very pleased to see the C go to @Blutch. Couldn’t have asked for a better assistant when I was there and I know he’ll continue to lead the team. Congrats, man! You earned it.
