courtjestr19 37
This is just my first week in the VHL, but I am very excited to see how the minors playoffs go. In part it's because there seems to be a wide range of usable metas in the league for the offenses. The two juggernauts right now seem to be Halifax and Miami, both of whom have cleared the 100-point plateau. While Halifax has the edge in scoring, Miami seems to have the better netminder this year. Momentum may be in the Marauders' favor—Miami has been on a tear in the last couple of sims—but the 234 goals for the 21st is a hefty total that should strike fear into any playoff opponent. Next up are San Diego and Houston, both of whom have had solid seasons of their own. San Diego's calling card this year is their defense, after a surprise run to the championship in S96. Houston comes in after revamping the offense to the tune of leading the Western conference in goals. This doesn't even cover everyone, but it's looking like the playoffs will have a lot of fun stylistic battles! Word count: 185.
