It's not easy to keep one's composure sometimes, but it certainly pays dividends.

The Las Vegas Aces served one past the Miami Marauders this past week, stopping their hope for the VHLM championship with decorum.

Netminder Onyekachukwu Chidieber Oluwaseun combined with the top-flight Vegas defensemen to stifle the high-octane Miami offense in its tracks by not only stopping the puck, but getting under the defense's skin. It's rare that penalties play a large role in the playoffs as the refs usually let more physical games play out, but this was entirely not the case in this series.

Incredibly, Las Vegas scored at least two power play goals in every single game of the five games of the series, and went a whopping 4 for 8 on the power play in game 4 to take a crucial 3-1 advantage by a score of 5-4. The lack of discipline was a shocking development for a Miami team that ranked 4 of 10 in PIM during the regular season.

While the unforced errors certainly sting, the Aces proved they were ready to play. Overall, respect to an excellent coaching job by @sadie who has continued to lead the underdog Aces bravely forward in the VHLM playoffs!
