Review Game 315 Ottawa Lynx vs Houston Bulls

Bit of a system shock here for my player, I didn't realize I'd be right in on the action!

The game starts off well for the visiting Lynx who are in Houston to take on the Western and Minor hockey leading Bulls. The Lynx are really taking it to the Bulls early but end up with 12 shots and nothing to show for it despite having the man advantage for the majority of the period. A line skirmish breaks out after Dart-For-Moderator lands a brutal slash giving himself a double minor and Ottawa takes exception to the amount of slashing and wood work that Houston is employing on them. The Bulls weather the penalty storm and grab a lead 4:13 into the second, Feka Ohi Kau fires a shot deflected by Gingy, bounces off the backboard collected by Gingy and beats the goalie for the first goal of the game.
Ottawa starts collecting minor infractions and lets Houston back into this one letting them get 9 shots on the period.
Into the 3rd with the game still pretty competitive at 1-0, Fortnite Moneygang decides to go for the pick-axe attack and collects himself a high sticking penalty which proves to be the dagger, Tail end of the penalty, Cardinal Copia moves in and fires a shot Tariff Puck blocks the shot, puck bounces wide and Robin Sierra collects it lets a shot go Copia leaks behind the defense and deflects it in to release the air from the crowd and send the Houston crowd to a frenzy. 3 Stars #1 Bartholomew Lorequavius with the 20 save shut out, #2 Robin Sierra with the Assist on the game sealing goal by #3 Cardinal Copia, who had 7 of the 23 shots by Houston.

Review Game 320 Ottawa Lynx vs Las Vegas Aces

Ottawa coming off a disappointing result in Houston last game finds themself in "Sin City" tonight  taking on the Las Vegas Aces, both teams sporting similar record and finding themselves in 4th in their respective conferences. Both teams on a 3 game skid currently with the Saskatoon Wild getting the better of the Aces in OT last game.
The action picks up early in the first as Komi Kamal lets in the first shot of the game Boing Boing nets his 17th of the season with Ashcroft getting his 17th assist and BEER x5x2 getting his second assist and the Vegas crowd is electrified but unfortunately that energy will soon be zapped as a sloppy game of dump and chase hockey plagued with turn overs begins to unfold in front of them. Nearly 3 minutes go by before an attempted shot goes off which is blocked by the defense. Vegas player Finn Mercer getting booed by his own fans in the first as he ices the puck 3 times in a two minute burst. Despite this Ottawa is unable to get any offense going at all the Lynx end the first with 2 shots and Aces with 4, but the Aces are on the board and the Lynx are still Drawing it up.

Nothing really happening in the second period until Raoul Cyr and Owen Two drop the gloves and Cyr is out of his element here, he gets absolutely dropped in a one sided affair and his coach is just shaking his head at the scene, wondering why he would choose to drop the gloves in such a scenario. Cyr will get the last laugh as Owen Two gets called for a hold minute 11 in the second, and that allows Boing Boing 17th assist of the season to setup Cyr for his 22nd goal of the year on the power play and Ottawa finds themselves down 2 with the offense unable to generate shots.

Third period doesn't add much in the way of drama, Ottawa finds their legs late and sprinkles 8 shots but nothing can get by Brian S as he records a 15 save shutout and collects a first star of the game, Boing Boing getting the second star with a solid 2 point night and 3rd star honours to Ethan Ashcroft. 

The Lynx have now lost 4 in a row and been shut out back to back games 2-0 after losing the two previous 4-1.  
Ottawa is off to Mexico, and the Aces have the Reapers at home next!
