Game 323, Mississagua Hounds vs. Halifax 21st

Score: Halifax (4) - Mississagua (1)

Three Stars: Petr Novak (1st-HFX), Chad Powers (2nd-HFX), Manuel Ceson (3rd-HFX)

This game was all Halifax, as they struck first, under a minute into the game as Steven Nichols ripped one past Yor Bjorven, this lead would hold for 10 minutes before Macgregor Walcott leveled the score for the Hounds. From this point forward however, only Halifax could get anything going, as they scored 2 in the second to take a commanding 3-1 lead going into the 2nd. The final dagger would come from Ceson just a minute into the 3rd, and put the Hounds to rest. The story of this game was Chad Powers' excellent goal tending, allowing only a single goal on 28 shots, helping the 21st secure a stress-free win.

Game 326, Ottawa Lynx vs. Mexico City Kings

Three Stars: Tina Hughes (1st-MEX), Pepe Silvia (2nd-MEX), Spallsy McDavid (3rd-MEX)

This game was not a pretty one for the Ottawa Lynx as they were brutally shut out by one of the league's top teams. In the first star defenseman Tina Hughes was the first to strike with some help from future VHL teammate, Ryan Mantzz. In the second Mexico's offense exploded, with 3 more unanswered goals, 1 from McDavid, and two from Augustin Martinez. The 3rd period was rather quiet, as neither team could find they're way onto the score sheet and the Kings finished the game out up 4 to nothing. The story of this game was Tina Hughes brilliant two-way play as she secured 3 points and put in some excellent work on the PK.
