Goals against average is an extremely tidy 1.00, while goals for stands at a very respectable 4.33!

 

There really is magic in that old Canadian jersey. Boys put it on and quickly become men, while men become nothing less than super heroes!!

Welcome one, welcome all to the kick off of the World Junior Hockey Championships! Tonight we have Team Canada in the visitor Jerseys, and Team world as the Home team. There was a lot of talk of the US being the favorite in this tournament from some Discord Pundits, but we will see how the tournament plays out over the next week or so.

Starting in net for Canada is Toby Bob, and for the World is Brian S. The game kicks off with Canada collecting a penalty Sid Sheppard gets called for tripping and Team World gets to work firing pucks in the direction of Toby Bob, Finn Mercer collects an Adam Joy miss and gets the first goal of the tournament, Bazooka Joe collects an assist for feeding Joy. 2 Minutes later the World adds a 2nd.  Nick Sansoe Jr nets his 1st with  Victory Hockey League and Bazooka Joe collecting his 2nd assist of the game.  CAN 0 - 2 WORLD.
Canada responds quickly, as Jackson Jeannot scores their first off a feed from Kyle Evans with Mia Miller getting the secondary apple. With 4 minutes to play in the period Zak Trokker from Canada manages to bang home a rebound off a Jacob seed shot, with Mia Miller getting their 2nd assist of the game. Shots end up 17-15 Canada as we get into the 1st Intermission.

Team Canada gets gifted a power play when Finn Mercer takes an Interference call in his own end, it takes Canada near the entire 2 minutes when Zak Trokker, buries his second of the period, with assist from Sidney Sheppard and Raoul Cyr 6:46 (PP).
Adam Joy gets called for Tripping in his End, and Canada's power play gets back to work! Raoul Cyr (13:49 PP )nets his first while Sidney Sheppard gets their second setup of the night and Zak Trokker gets an assist. Shots for the period 12-12.

Third period sees both sides get another couple chances but nobody is able to connect and Canada holds on to open up their campaign with a 4-2 victory over Team World.  Shots for the period were 12-9.

Game 4:

 Team USA vs. Team Canada 

RECAP

Canada coming off a 4-2 W vs the Worlds square up with another perennial contender the USA. USA Found themselves in a tight 5-4 game over Team Asia to most peoples surprise leading some to speculate that Team USA might not have the Goaltending at this tournament one would expect from an Elite hockey nation., but tonight they are dressing their second goalie Pepe Silva to see if they can turn away Canadas potent offense. Let's get this highly anticipated game under way!!

Canada being coaxed and out hustled into taking 5 penalties in the first period, the US only takes 1, but chances not capitalized in the period. USA absolutely blasts on the Canada PK for most of the period with nothing to show for it. Shots US 20 - 7 CAN.

Chase Breeze quickly gets a Cross checking Call putting Canada into a 5 on 3,  Toby Bob keeps collecting shots and not coughing up a rebound and Canada fights through the penalties.

Who else but game 1 hero  Zak Trokker(3) as he picks up another goal off a Jackson Jeannot pass 7:50 into the period. Canada stops its penalty box train and the game is now being at a more intense level.

Shots for period 13-11 Canada. 

As the game works its way into the 3rd Chase Breese @ 4:55 runs a high stick up on a check and the USA brings on Power Play unit, Canada gets a lucky break as a shot misses the net and Carroms around the defense goes to pinch and Mia Miller chips it over the defender, Kyle Evans and Sidney Sheppard have a 2 on 2, Sheppard loops the goalie for a screen low shot by Evans, Tipped in by Sheppard for their first, Evans and Miller get assists.
Sidney Sheppard finds themselves right back in the thick of it, fires a shot on goal Misses, Jackson Jeannot scoops the puck out off the boards Jacob seed snaps a shot wide Mia miller on the door step, fires home a shot and its 3-0 Canada!!! 
As the US is starting to show signs of defeat the Canadian attack is pressing on Jackson Jeannot puts a pass onto Zak Trokkers stick he fires Venkman gets down to block it puck leaks out to Jacob Seed in the slot, and BOOM Canada is up 4-0 with 5 and a half minutes to go. USA gets no real good chances and Canada plays a solid safe game near the end they outshoot USA 11-9 on the period but 31-40 on the day.

Pepe Silva was not the answer for the USA, he lets in 4 goals on 31 shots.
Toby Bob from Canada gets the 40 save shutout and he gets a Standing ovation as the 3rd Star.
