Following a successful rookie season in which Poole was named an All-Star and proved his worth for the future of the Toronto Legion, he is only building upon his performance this season and, in just his second season, is already looking like an elite defenseman in the VHL.  He currently is third in points for the Toronto Legion with 52 through 44 games while also leading his team in assists.  His 52 points also are tied for third best among defensemen and his 42 assists are fifth best throughout the entire league.  And although his offensive talent is clear, he is also excelling defensively.  His 148 hits rank him just outside the top ten while his 109 blocked shots are third in the league.  Although the Legion are still solidly behind the Wranglers for the third playoff spot in the conference, there is reason to be excited for the young franchise.  Goaltender Fedir Okranitz, selected fifth overall this off-season is expected to make his debut next season and with such a young, strong core group of players, the Legion are on track to become one of the most dangerous teams in the league.
