Ninetyfourgoalie 168
After an off-season with a number of ups and downs, the Toronto Legion will head into Season 42 with a bit more firepower than many expected. The loss of center Devin Sundberg to free agency was a huge hit for the team, leaving them with a gaping hole at second line center. This would have forced the Legion to thrust rookie Raphael Pettyfer into the position - something that certainly wouldn't have been outside of his capabilities but would have been an immense amount of pressure for the young forward. Instead, the Legion managed to add veteran Bennett Wahl, who will add even more veteran presence to the young team after adding defenseman Slaeter Fjorsstrom and goaltender Kimmo Salo. Wahl was originally drafted by the Legion in the second round of the Season 37 VHL Entry Draft. After holding onto him until his rookie season in Season 39, he was sent to the New York Americans at the deadline and promptly won the Continental Cup. Playing for the Cologne Express this season, he was one of their top players, picking up 67 points and was the team's fourth leading scorer. The Legion hope Wahl can replace the hole left by the loss of Sundberg and will need him to if they want to get into the playoffs this season.
