Jerrick Poole Wants Playoffs

Jerrick Poole is in his third season in the VHL and while he has established himself as a solid and talented all-around defenseman, there is still a lot left for him to accomplish. While winning the Continental Cup, the Labatte Trophy, and perhaps even an MVP award are all things that would certainly be markers of a strong career, there is one thing Poole wants before any of it.

 

I just want to make the playoffs. I see all these guys making it and, honestly, I'm jealous. I thought maybe I'd have a chance in Season 41 but after it looking like it might just work out for us, we fell hard at the end and our season ended early. Coming into this season, the playoffs were my number one goal. I know our team is doing everything we can do at this point but it's leaving me wondering why we can't step it up a notch. Why can't we compete with the top teams? Do we even have a chance at winning in the future or has this team loaded with potential remained just that - a team with potential. I don't know yet and I'm trying to keep my options open but I know that if we miss the playoffs, I will have some very difficult decisions to make.
