Bernie Joins Bern

It’s been a whirlwind of a week for the newest goaltender in the VHLM, Bernie Gow. The Oslo native recently declared his eligibility for the S44 VHL Draft, but due to his status as a member of Jim Gow’s player agency, Bernie’s VHL rights are already affiliated with the Riga Reign. Soon after officially joining the VHLM, the newest Gow player was claimed by the Bern Royals, a team battling for playoff positioning in the European Conference. After only one practice, it was apparent that the rookie was not only better than current starter Soren Douffet, but his potential was much greater as well.

“The more I watch him practice, the better I think this kid can be,” stated Royals General Manager Sachimo Zoidberg. “He’s really raw right now, but with the right practice, I think this kid can become a great VHL goalie, a perennial all-star. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he goes first overall in the upcoming VHLM Dispersal Draft.”
