Giovanni Reuel has now played eighteen games for the Bern Royals. So far his offensive production has been leaving much to be desired, especially since he is receiving quality minutes alongside Tim TebowGow and Josh Merica. Despite the generally slow start there is one statistic in particular which is driving the training staff mad. Reuel is shooting at fifty percent. That’s right through eighteen games Reuel has scored five goals on only ten shots. He has never been described as a sniper but his unwillingness to shoot despite his early success is driving his coaches made. We asked Reuel what he thought.

“There are better players on the ice with me, unless I have a clear shot I am not going to throw something on net when my line mates are much more likely to produce. All I’m trying to do is not get in their way! With time I’ll step up to that level I’m just far from that point right now. It is really that simple.”

To be completely honest Reuel makes a valid point. Hopefully he can start to learn from both TebowGow and Merica before the highly touted prospects leave for the greener pastures of the VHL.
