Tylar 219
The Saskatoon Wild are now comfortably sitting 9 points above the Yukon Rush for the 3rd and final playoff spot in the North American Conference with a record of 19-37-1. The Wild have also lost 5 straight games and have hit a tough section of their schedule. The Wild have had an inconsistent season and will most likely be heading for a first round exit in the playoffs if they do make it. Hunter Backenbauer is leading the way offensively for the Wild with 76 points in 57 games. Backenbauer has been leading the team offensively throughout the season on the top line with Marcel Faux and Ryan Carlson. Backenbauer is a VHLM veteran from S39 which Saskatoon signed in free agency at the beginning of the season. Backenbauer has went unsigned in the VHL and thus stayed bouncing around in the VHLM for a couple seasons. Marcel Faux is second in scoring with 70 points in 57 games. Faux has picked up production since the beginning of the season and has been consistently putting up points for the team. At one point Faux was sitting just below a point per game now he is above a point per game.
