"Retool" is a word that General Manager tfong used before the season had begun to describe the Brampton Blades upcoming season. The team lost very important players after it's finals appearance the season before and looked to be a team that needed some time to get it together before another run. Veteran Maxime Perron was one of the only players still remaining on the team as tfong moved out players for draft picks, hoping his team would still be able to fight in to be in the playoffs, but would have a great standing in the next season.

 

However, what happened next was unimaginable. Brampton sits at 14-4, a mere 3 points from 1st in the league with a game in hand, all lead by captain Maxime Perron and rookie Jefferson Jackson. Together they have scored 79 points for the team, Perron being the league leader in scoring with 42 points in 18 games. No on expected this level of production out of the team being carried by two stars. Time will tell if they can compete in the playoffs, but it is an exciting team to watch as of this moment
