Moderator Baozi 1,658 Posted July 16, 2015 Moderator Share Posted July 16, 2015 The Brampton Blades announced they have signed amateur tryout Maxime Deschamps to a tryout contract for the remainder of the season in the VHLM. When asked where the player was scouted from GM Terence Fong didn't have a very length explanation. "Youtube. He was making youtube videos on teaching amateurs how to win faceoffs in all different sorts of situations. Then I was thinking hey whadda guy here, lets see if he can play hockey normally. We don't have very strong faceoff skills as a team so that is definitely something that would help us out going down the stretch into the playoffs. With luck he looks like he could fit into the pro league in a niche little position. Everyone could use a good faceoff guy and he can play a good two way game so whynot?" No information has been released yet on whom he will be playing with but reports say that he was seen practicing between Ahai and Hyeok, both of whom are much better suited to play on the wings, Hyeok currently anchoring the 2nd line center position. This move could move him back to wing where he is more comfortable playing.
