VHLM MVP

The favourited Ottawa Lynx lived up to their name as they swept the Storm and claimed the S35 Founder's Cup. Ottawa was the heavy favourite from the start of the season and had no problem going 8-1-0 in the playoffs after dominating the regular season and having a bye for the first round.

The team was very deep with a very impressive lineup of players and showed just how good they were. But even being a deep team, there has to be a MVP named for the playoffs. Jeevan Samuelsson was the runaway for regular season MVP but slowed down in the playoffs and gave a chance for someone else. Players that top the Lynx scoring is Conner Low, a 2nd year defenseman who went off in the post-season. Low posted 4 goals and 19 assists for 23 points in just the 9 games he played. He was very sound defensively as well. Next on the scoring list is the captain, Brennan McQueen who mostly stuck to goal scoring as he potted 13 of them and added 2 assists. He continued his regular season play and hit everything in site. Most importantly, McQueen scored the game winner in 4 of the 8 Lynx wins. Robin Gow had a great playoffs as well as the number one center where he dominated the faceoff dot and put up points to go with it.

It's rare that a player from a team that didn't win the championship wins the MVP. In this case it seems to be almost impossible that someone like Xin Xie Xiao could win it as his team didn't even make the finals. He did have an absolutely unreal post-season though with 21 goals and 33 points in just the 10 games he played in the first two rounds. Personally I don't believe that a player could win MVP with how the team did but you just never know.
