Kronos Addresses Playoff Performance

Recommended Posts

Yukon Rush Defensemen Titan Kronos has not really had a good post season showing up to this point. This week he has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism due to virtually being non-existent during the Rush's first round match-up with Saskatoon. ESPN.com caught up with Kronos as the team boarded their plane to head out for their second round match-up.

I haven't been playing up to my standards. I know I'm a defensemen, but I like getting that stats that show up in the box score and on the highlight reels. I've been a flashy player my whole career and despite that not being very long, it has worked out pretty well for me up to this point. I think I am letting nerves get to me or something. I'm not afraid out there while I'm plaing but something just doesn't feel....natural at this point. I've been putting in work in the weight room and my speed has suffered all season because of it. Wasn't really something you could notice until this point but I really think my build is starting to slow me down. This team is packed full of talent and I think that regardless of my play we can go out there and win a championship this season. Right now I am just a small piece of this puzzle. The other guys like Velvet, Unassisted, and Kohler are the leaders. Right now I'm trying to learn from this and get through this rough patch so I can hopefully be as good as them next season.
