Shayne Gow - Prospect Report

With the early retirement of goaltender Bernie Gow, the Gow player agency was left scrambling for a replacement player in the Victory Hockey League. With their previous representative a relative dud, the agency decided to go back to its roots and find a defenceman to groom. With limited time, they went and selected someone they were familiar with: SHL dropout Shayne Gow.

Shayne is a young two-way defensemen out of Philadelphia, PA. After failing to improve while playing in an alternative league, the Gow Agency is hoping that their familiarity with the VHL will help bring out the best in this developing player. CEO Jim Gow later added:

"Shayne is easily the most promising prospect we've had since Robin Gow. We all knew that Bernie was a limited player, but Shayne has the chance to be something special. He's a dynamic offensive player who at the very least will be able to hold his own in the defensive zone. He'll be in a little bit of an odd spot in the upcoming VHLM Dispersal Draft, as he's one of the youngest eligible players. Although he'll most likely be one-and-done in the minors, the hope is that Shayne will be the 3rd player of the Gow Agency to capture the Continental Cup."
