It's kind of been tough for me. I went from being expected to score a lot of points to being a player that has to focus on the things that don't show up as much on the stat line. Riga is a young team and this is the exact type of situation I wanted to go to. My play has been decent, but I'm not sure if it has been up to par with my draft position. The guys that play my position aren't usually the ones that get all the glory at the end of the day despite there being more D guys in the HoF than any other position. I know what I need to work on and I plan on continuing to bust my ass. People are going to think certain guys should have been drafted before me, but that's because they are the ones going out there and getting the goals and assists. I've decided to focus on my defense this season since we aren't going to win a lot of games anyway. You can very easily find someone to go out there and try to score...it's what most guys want to do coming into the league. I'm going to be the guy to stop them....until I decide that it's time to get my own.
