My play this year hasn't been good enough to warrant an invite to the game and I am not going to sit back and pout about it. You have to earn your way into a game like this and regardless how I feel about my own talent level, I don't have the stats to back it up. I am just happy that we are starting to figure things out as a team in Riga. I came here expecting to have to miss the playoffs a couple of seasons in a row while we tried to build a team fit to compete. Looks like I was wrong. This team has scratched and clawed its way back into the playoff picture and I very excited that I might get to experience the playoffs as a rookie. Usually going first overall means that you are going to a team that needs a couple of more seasons to make things happen. The Legion last year are one of the exceptions to this rule, but when I came to Riga we were building from the ground up. Instead of sitting back and watching the all-star game and what ever festivities occur with it, I will be putting in the extra hours needed to practice and help get myself ready for that potential playoff run. First goal is get the the playoffs. Second one is to win a playoff series. I think we have the chance to surprise a lot of people this season. I would rather have that than an all-star invite every day of the week.
