ChiefNoka4 61
WINTER IS COMING Jon Snow, finally a VHL drafted player. Never more excited has he been to join the Calgary Wranglers. From a small town in Alaska all the way to the Prairies, Snow has come along way. There may be some questions he sparks being a new player from areas of the world that aren't highly scouted, but what has Calgary received from the 12th overall pick? Lets dive in.A Two Way Defender As Jon continues to develop in the VHLM, he is focusing primarily on the defensive aspects of his game. As he continues to play for Ottawa, he hopes to establish himself as a top pairing defenseman throughout the league and hopes to be more of an impact player for the Lynx this season. Most of his time is being dedicated to learning the patterns of the offense around him trying to figure out the best ways to shut them down. He wants to grow to be a bit more physical while still maintaining the ability to be a puck moving defenseman. Snow hopes to add some offense to this season in the VHLM apart from his lackluster debut season. He's going to focus on his scoring ability as he has yet to record a single goal in his professional career. How Will The VHL React to Jon Snow? Jon Snow will continue to grow. He understands the roles he needs to fill and wants to exceed expectations. He will continue to develop in the VHLM this season but fully expects to make the Wranglers squad next season. Snow hopes to increase his offensive contributions to make himself one of the VHL's elite all around defenseman. He really hopes to start growing as one of the leaders of the Calgary dressing room. Getting involved and trying to have a say in efforts Calgary is making is one way Snow plans on showing he can be a leader. A great guy to have in the locker room, Snow always makes sure his teammates are having a great time and can get a laugh or to in. He strives to keep morale high.Back to Back? Excited to play with new teammates, Snow would like to capture back to back titles with the Ottawa Lynx. This would add an impressive stat to add to his resume, but, unlike last year, Snow wants to be a major contributor to his teams success going forward this year. He wants to prove to Calgary that he is ready to be a member of their team next season and, not just any member, a solid benefactor to the teams efforts and hopefully a big part of the core for this Calgary rebuild. Calgary was very active in the S54 draft acquiring many key pieces and Jon Snow hopes that he can be one of them.
