The Leilani Chronicles: Part 1

 

It all started when Leilani was younger. He had though of the times he would dress up as a super hero and he would one day dream of becoming one. He like many other kids his age had been a fan of watching super heroes on television. Of course he favored the Marvel characters over the D.C. ones so it seems he had better taste. He was interested mainly interested in people like Deadpool, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Gambit and Luke Cage. It was so intriguing to watch all of them growing up and watching all the amazing things that they could do. I mean his mother would make him costumes and he would run around the back yard pretending to be them.

 

He would run around with plastic swords pretending to be Deadpool all the time. Of course he knew he couldn't swear because it was not allowed but he would say things close. He would say witty things but none of them actually made sense. It was something fun to him because he really liked the red suit. He was unaware of Deadpool's cancer that he had and the real reason as to why he did what he did. Of course there were no real enemies so the ones that he made up were just sufficient enough for him to actually enjoy.

 

Daredevil was a different story. Playing a blind person was actually rather hard as he knew that he could trip and fall into things. So he had this piece of cloth that was rather translucent. This way he could pretend to be blind but at the same time he would be able to make sure he didn't fall and hurt himself in the process. Listening to things the way Daredevil did was something of amazement and Leilani tried to copy it. Of course he wasn't as successful but he tried his best to hear things around him rather than look at them.

 

Ghost Rider was the hardest one of all to try and imitate. Being a skeleton that was on fire of course was rather something that couldn't be done. So he would have these red ribbons that were all over his body and he pretended they were fire. He would ride his bike up and down the street and pretend he was on a motorcycle. He didn't really know what to make of the rest of how Ghost Rider was so he just enjoyed riding around on his bike pretending to be a skeleton on fire.

 

Gambit was easily one of his favorites. His mother bought him his very own deck of cards the he could just throw around. Now they weren't sharp ones like Gambit had so he would tape the cards on the things he threw them at. Of course they didn't really do anything at all but he pretended they destroyed things like evil villains and would pretend they could cut plants and stuff. Now he had gotten in trouble a few times for destroying his mothers plants, but she knew what he was up to so she let it slide.

 

Luke Cage was another fun one. Getting to walk around and pretend you are invincible was something awesome. He would run into things like boxes and such and pretend he was running through walls. He would throw small rocks into the air and imagine they were imaginary bullets being shot. They would just bounce right off him and wouldn't even bother him. Of course Luke was fun to play but after awhile he just got bored of him and moved on.
