TurnDaddy 323
Ottawa's young defenseman, Niko Bogdonavic completly lost his cool last night after their playoff loss to Saskatoon. On the way out of the arena after the loss Niko slammed his stick into the ice, shattering it and sending debris flying everywhere, while the handle of the stick was still in his hand he chucked it wildly where it found its way into the stand and striking an elderly gentleman. Ottawa, already down two games to the Wild, face an uphill climb that may involve them moving forward without one of their key players on defense. With Niko primed to move up to the VHL next season one would think that if a suspension did come down, it would be handed out fairly quick as Ottawa looks like they won't advance to see the winner of Oslo and Vegas and a suspension in the VHLM would have zero affect on him once he makes the jump up. The commissioners office has stated that they are working as quickly as they can to figure out exactly what happened and how to proceed. Niko maintains that it was simply an accident, that he is extremely sorry, and he lost his cool in a moment of heat, but would accept any punishment the league found necessary.
