Returning to Serbia

"Well, the VHLM season has drawn to a close with Ottawa emerging with no hardware. It was a tough series and loss to Saskatoon, but I am proud of my teammates for the resiliency we showed throughout the season and into this series, but now it is over. I have packed my belongings and my locker sits empty. My name tag is still above the locker, but I know shortly it will be removed forever. I won't go down into the history books in Ottawa lore, and I might not be remembered for long, but I will never forget my time spent here. As the lights turn off behind me, so do the lights of my VHLM career. I don't board a flight for Riga quite yet, but rather one back home. I'm not sure what to expect. I don't imagine much fanfare when I land, and rightfully so, but for now I continue to push forward and try to make Serbia proud of their own. I try to bring glory to my country, one small step at a time."
