"We were up 2-0, things were looking up for us in Riga. Then reality hit us hard, like a bag of bricks. A very large bag of bricks. Davos never once flinched and I think we got ahead of ourselves. We clebrated too early. We thought Europe was ours and then it was snatched from us. It was gone as quickly as we thought it had come. It's a disappointing end to a fun season. One of the best I've ever had in the VHL. This is the type of series lose that makes you question your existence. What did we do wrong? What did I do wrong? What if I had been two inches to the left and stopped that puck? Instead it sails past me, sails past King, and into the net? We blew a 2-0 lead and it hurts. It stings. It pains me to even talk about it now, but in time all wounds will heal. We will come back stronger than ever."
