The halfway mark of Season 36 in the VHLM has come and gone, and the Stars from the first quarter have dropped off the podium. Here are your fresh Three Star-Selection leaders for 180 games*:

First Star: Matt Rielly – D Bern Royals (First: 5 Second: 9 Third: 3)

GP:43 G:31 A:72 P:103 +/-:62

The career VHLMer is the epitome of an offensive defensemen. He is running away with the scoring title (with 10 more points than the closest skater) and may be a shoe-in for best defensemen as well (22 more points than the next D and third overall in +/-).

Second Star: Earl Parker – LW Bern Royals (First: 7 Second: 5 Third: 4)

GP:43 G:39 A:56 P:95 +/-57

Parker benefits greatly from playing on Eliana Ben-Lev's wing, who tore it up in first quarter of the season. Parker leads all Wingers (Left and Right) in assists and points thanks to his league-leading 1325 minutes played.

Third Star: Aelred Leskowski - RW Minot Gladiators (First: 8 Second: 4 Third: 2)

GP:43 G:46 A:30 P:76 +/-:11

Leskowski's stats don't jump off the page, especially considering fellow Gladiator Nicholas Stormborn has a better scoreline, but Aelred brings physicality to his 5 on 5 play and a whopping 20 points on the powerplay for a team that operates below league average. He is tied for first in first star selections.
