Claimed: The Road to Vegas.

As of early this morning Sergei Kovalev started to pack his bags. No longer did he have to stay at the VHLM headquarters, sleeping in Beaviss’ smelly chair. Instead he was on his way to the airport. The airport was very small and privately owned by the Victory Hockey League. Unfortunately Kovalev was stuck at the airport for numerous hours, due to high winds and the freezing rain storm currently taking place outside it was deemed unsafe for take off. Instead of just sitting around twiddling his thumbs he thought he would go for a walk down the street. When driving to the airport Kovalev noticed a children's hospital for the severely sick. He saw this has a chance to not only kill time but to always bring hope and excitement to the kids. Hours past as if they were minutes, Kovalev was taking pictures with all the kids and even playing floor hockey with them. There is nowhere else Sergei wanted to be in the world at this time rather than making these kids smile. Unfortunately Kovalev got the phone call that it was time to come back to the airport and get ready to board the private jet.

 

When Sergei finally got to the airport and boarded the plane it all started to sink in. He could not believe this was actually happening and that he finally made it. He was on his way to the city that never sleeps to sign a contract with the Las Vegas Aces. It was time to show this league what he was all about. After the plane took off Sergei found himself starring out the window wondering if he would fit in in Vegas. He wondered how the other guys on the team were and if they would accept him. What if he was the only Russian and everyone looked at him weird? He has to get these thoughts out of his head and focus on the bigger picture. It doesn’t matter what people think. Once they see him play the will go nuts. The is no questions asked about that. After a hour of all this running through his head, he finally fell asleep.

 

Roughly five hours later Sergei woke up to the stewardess shaking him awake. She informed Kovalev that they had reached Las Vegas and were preparing to land. Moments later the plane landed safety and Kovalev was escorted to a car with his bags. Once the car was loaded up, they took off in the direction of the Aces arena. When the car pulled up to the arena General Manager @Spade18 was already standing at the front door waiting on Sergei Kovalev’s arrival. Spade introduced himself to Sergei and gave him a tour of the facility. He showed him the workout area, the rink, the locker room area and even the historical room they have also known has the Aces Hall of Fame. It was all very overwhelming for Serg. He thanked Spade and asked to be taken to his house just outside of the city. Spade laughed, threw a pair of Lamborghini keys at Kovalev, and said “Welcome to the team Superstar!”
