What is up my VHL.com viewers. Today we are excited to announce we have a VHLM draftee with us hoping to improve his draft stock. Gucci Garrop, hailing from Richmond Hill Ontario and former Toronto Marlboros second line center is here for a short interview. 

 

Q: What do you think your biggest strength is as a player?

 

A: Well I think my biggest strength is my work ethic. As it stands right now, I am not sure if I am labeled as a offensive or defensive center so I do not have a particular strength or weakness on the rink but my strength is being adaptable and putting work in each week to improve my abilities.

 

Q: How do you think playing on the second line hurt your draft stock?

 

A: While I was on the second line, I played for the best bantam team in the world in my opinion. I felt like I had a great season and I do not think it should affect my draft stock. With just three lines, I had a lot of play time regardless and still matched up against other top prospects very often. Considering the fact that we have thirteen of our players this year get drafted into a junior team I think we should be respected from top to bottom
