Jubo 1,839
With such a deep pool of prospects for most nations to choose from, there are always players who fail to catch the eye of their respective GM's. With the full roster of players now released for season 63's WJC, we can take a close look at the talent that did not make the final cuts. The following players were not selected by their nation and in most cases also missed the cut from making Team World. Nathan MacKinnon - Shockingly the VHLM's leading scorer will not represent Canada or Team World. MacKinnon has amassed 52 points in 29 games with Hallifax this season. Canada's forward depth was simply too deep for MacKinnon to make the cut despite his aw-inspiring season thus far. Johnny Havanek Carison - Perhaps the most surprising non home nation selection of the tournament. Carison will represent Team World after being the odd man out from Team USA's selections of Cole Mertz and Rhett Stoffiday. Team World should benefit well from this decision. Jagger Philliefan - A product of being the 5th dman on USA's depth chart; Jagger will not skate at the WJC. Andrew Taylor - Passed up by a currently inactive centre (Hunter Kidd); Taylor will also not appear in uniform at the WJC.
