Jubo 1,839
The Helsinki Titans continued their roster revamp by naming all new team and alternate captains. The decisions were finalized mid week within the organization and made public on Thursday. Newly acquired veteran dman Mats Johnson will captain the Titans in season 64. The all-star defender was an obvious choice for the role and will represent Helsinki in the highest regard. Johnson brings a dynamic skillset and is a big piece of the Titans expedited rebuild. Helsinki named three assistant captains, Alexander Pepper, Keaton Louth and Julian Borwinn. While unorthodox to have three alternate captains; the decision makes complete sense as Helsinki management look to establish future leadership by the way of its newer members. Keaton Louth again was an easy choice to lead the Titans youth. Alexander Pepper and Julian Borwinn; draftees of season 63, displayed a skillet worthy of the shared leadership roles. We had a chance to speak with Borwinn regarding this honor; "We fought hard last season. We knew it was going to be a tough season but we hung in there and turned some heads. This year the puzzle pieces start to fall into place and it is a privilege to wear the A on my jersey. This decision shows the commitment our management has to its youth and quick development of building a championship roster". Season 64 brings a Helsinki roster rich in depth complemented well with seasoned veterans with a proven track record.
