Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - Hockey is in the air and the VHLM season has begun. For the defending VHLM champs, the Saskatoon Wild, it’s been a rough start. Offense is plenty, but defense is still trying to be found by the young team. One bright spot for the Saskatoon Wild is their leading scorer Curtis Gary. In the Wild’s seventh game of the season Gary did something he’s never done in his young VHLM career, score a hat trick.

“It’s a great moment in my career, it’s huge for my confidence to know it has been done before and it can happen again”, said Gary. “Big shout out to my line mates, Anton Edvin and Anderson LaVey, along with the whole team in general for the moral support.”

Though the season is young Gary is looking forward to building off a game like this. “It’s been a rough start, we’re winning games here and there but we’re giving up to many goals. It’s gonna take a team effort to bring this team back to its glory from last year.”
