After an interesting start to the season that saw Malmo of all teams in a solid playoff position and Davos out of the playoffs, Malmo now sits 2nd from the bottom and Davos is tied with Calgary for 3rd. Crossover won't be a thing this season. The European Conference holds the first, second, and third spots in the VHL, while the North American Conference holds spots 4 through 7. Davos currently leads the league with 8 overtime losses. On one hand, this shows there are a couple extra points we could have won, but on the other hand, it shows there are a couple extra points we could have lost... VHL Brands - eliminated. Good riddance. Never made sense from the start. Player store/contract money - With the elimination of player brands, there will be less money floating throughout the league. This is a good thing, as people will now actually have to pick and choose if they want the player store options that help fight regression, or the ones that give you an improvement up front.
