It took just five playoff games for the Helsinki Titans to advance to the VHL finals. The Titans high powered offense through their five contests did not disappoint. The club scored 18 goals; an average of 3.6 per game against Finn Davison and a mediocre defensive core. Their quest to add the Continental Cup along side their Victory Cup is just four wins away. The opponent who stands between them and this goal will either be the Vancouver Wolves or Calgary Wranglers. Calgary currently leads the series three games to two. The VHL deserves a finals matchup between goaltenders Alexander Pepper and Brick Wahl; two of the hardest working goalies of the current generation. From a pure analytics point of view, the Wolves would hold a slightly stronger fight defensively and offensively but have been on the wrong side of the score sheet after they took an early 2-1 lead in the series. Helsinki remain the favourites but the playoffs are almost always unpredictable. Stay tuned for an exciting finish to season 66.
