Helsinki's Off-Season Well Underway

During an off-season that saw Matt Thompson leave the Titans franchise; General Manager Matt Bailey scoured the league for a forward to fill the void. Bailey landed on the acquisition of ACL Tear. ACL was acquired for Helsinki's own first and fourth round picks for the season 68 draft. New York later used those picks to acquire Fredrik Elmebeck and Case Martell. Tear spent his first VHL season in a depth role focusing on the defensive aspects of the game. Tear threw around his 6' 8" 250 pound frame and amassed 217 hits and 168 penalty minutes. He managed a respectable -5 rating on the lowly New York Americans. Offensively he potted 7 goals and 12 assists. ACL Tear trained in the off-season to write a different path for his sophomore season. Tear has been working on his skating and shooting abilities in anticipation of becoming a reliable force on the wing. The Titans goal this season is simple; to make the finals for a fifth consecutive season and ultimately win the Continental Cup for a 2nd time in that span.
