MacH 32
This week on VHL.com we are going to talk about the 2 fresh new teams starting in the VHL the DC Dragons and the Prague Phantoms, it appears to have been a shaky start for both teams with the Dragons sitting at 12th and the Phantoms just above them in 11th both teams only securing a single win at the time of writing which is not a good sign for the 2 new teams, though it is expected the teams are brand new meaning the coaching staff, players and organisation in general are all still experimenting with how to play and run the teams, the players need to be allowed time to gel and build a team chemistry/locker room environment that is comfortable and progressive for not just the players but the coaches as well. I can see both teams being a force to be reckoned with after having time to build the teams. Prague securing their 1st win against the Riga Reign securing a solid 3-1 victory, with the goals spread evenly amongst Laughton, Draven and Perrin. The Dragons first victory however was slightly less decisive win at 3-2 against the Calgary Wranglers however they had to claw their way back after letting in a shot from Tyler Barabash, they tied the game thanks to Mikko Aaltonen up only to have Leph Twinger find the back of the net again. The 2nd and 3rd period were a different story however with only 2 goals being scored both by the Dragons allowing Aaltonen to secure himself a nice hat-trick in DC's first win. I look forward to seeing how both teams progress throughout the season. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/69811-shaky-starts-for-the-new-teams/ Share on other sites
