After a somewhat disappointing rookie season. The previous off-season was a turnaround moment for Aleksander Rodriguez as he trained nights in and nights out to make a big leap into his career. Last season, Aleksander Rodriguez only had 17 goals (3 Power Play Goals) and 25 assist for 42 points with a minus 15. He had 211 shots with ONLY 53 hits and 21 shots blocked.  That off-season, he was determined to gain weight and add a physical part into his game as he was getting stripped off the puck which didn't let him use his greatest weapon in the VHL, his playmaking.

This year, Aleksander Rodriguez wasn't even the vocal point of the offence. In fact, he was only the third option behind Boris the forest and Steve LeGrande, but he still managed to be the leading forward to that team. He had 22 goals and 46 assist for 68 points which is barely a PPG in the VHL. That is quite a big jump for someone who is only the third option on the team.  His hits went from 53 to 188 hits and he only received 76 hits. Yes, he is a big boy now. Although he had 73 penalty minutes, he barely began to took some after the second half of the season. Aleksander Rodriguez only block 15 shots which will be his focus into this off-season to make another huge step into his career. Oh, he also had 22 power play points. He did all of this with just under 20 minutes played per game.

Aleksander Rodriguez feels like he would be a really good top 6 playmaker in any VHL team. The question is which team will already have the assets around him to have the team succeed. We shall see this later.
