A few days ago, Dynamo winger Ryuu Crimson announced his retirement from the Victory Hockey League. What we were wondering was what Ryuu was going to do now that he has retired from the VHL. We interviewed him. We were surprised by his plans (or rather, lack thereof.) “Well, I’m not entirely sure. I just retired. I never really had a plan for what I was going to do once I retired here,” said the former left winger of the HC Davos Dynamo. He told us that he wouldn’t go into scouting or management for the VHL, like other retired players have done. “I mean, it would be cool but I just want to relax for now. Besides, I’m not the best scout, manager, or coach out there,” he told us during the interview. What he has decided on, however, was where he was going to live. “It was a pretty hard choice. Saskatoon’s always been my home and I had the privilege of playing there but I’ve always had a soft spot for Riga. So, I decided to pack my bags and go live in Riga and I'll see what will happen." He's mentioned the possibility of playing in the NHL but he says it's very unlikely. "Like I said, I just want to relax. Maybe I will tryout for the National Hockey League in the future but for now, the answer is no," Ryuu responded when a reporter mentioned the idea of playing in the NHL.
