diacope 1,696
Not long ago Ryan Busser was traveling from Europe to North America for more opportunities to play and develop his game, he signed a contract with San Diego and had a decent first season but his second season would be the most memorable. It started off being drafted to the Mexico City Kings and right away Busser knew he was going to play a lot of minutes again but he was ready for the challenge. One thing he decided to do more was score, although it started off rough he was able to learn his ways around the net quickly and eventually ended up being the go to man in Mexico City. As things progressed the Kings did not and halfway through the season multiple top players were traded, he was one of them. Excited and ready to play in his homeland Ryan only got better, by the end of the season he again was able to score much needed goals and won games with many clutch performances. His team was on fire and firing at all cylinders but in the 1st round we saw a totally different 21st squad. The locker room was down but they didn't give up and in the next 4 games everything would change, goals were going in from everywhere and after a miracle, a few breaks from the hockey gods the Minnesota Storm were left shocked game after game. The team went from scoring 7 goals and having 15 against to 12 goals and only 4 against, they would advance to the 2nd round against the 1st place Houston Bulls but things would end up being bitter sweet for Halifax. After their historical comeback the team struggled to stopped the Bulls offense and lose the series 4-1. This season R.B. will be reunited with long time friend Pat Svoboda after being called up a few days ago and will make his VHL debut with the Riga Reign in their first game of the season. Will he continue to find ways to score? Change things up again? Stay tuned!
