The Backenbauer's Cats

Vasteras, SWE- Before getting ready for the Season 39 VHLM Draft, star prospect Hudson Backenbauer had to go back to Vasteras, Sweden to visit his father, Hanz Backenbauer who is the current defensive coach for the Vasteras Iron Eagles. Hudson's parents divorced in Turku when Hudson was only six, and the parents parted ways. Ellen took her son back to her hometown of Ottawa, Ontario while Hanz jumped at the chance of employment in Vasteras.

 

"It's hard, not seeing him [Hanz Backenbauer]," Hudson told the press, "He's my dad and I love hanging out with him, but when I came to see him in person for the first time this year, my usual room was occupied by two cats. My father told me I couldn't sleep there because Mr. Meows and Mrs. Purrs require their own room."

 

Hanz didn't deny it, "Well, if he came over more often, maybe I would remember him. Cats are better than kids, much less expensive."

 

Hudson suspected his father was obsessed with his cat. The father and son would Skype every Tuesday night before Hanz cancelled due to his 'cat whispers' appointments.

 

Worst of all, Hudson is deadly allergic of cats. It's going to be a rough vacation for the youngster.
