Ken Fury is a consistent 3rd pairing defenseman who is attempting to establish himself as a staple at the next level on a VHLM blueline, after racking up respectable defensive and offensive statistics during his Jr Tenure. Ken is a solid puck moving defenseman with a nasty snarl posting a substandard plus/minus rating of -8, the 18-year-old defenseman registered career-high totals in blocks (147), PIMS (137 with 10 fighting majors) and hits (162), while averaging a staggering 24:07 minutes of ice-time per night.

Ken prides himself on winning puck battles, defending his crease, protecting fellow teammates, playing with a competitive/physical edge, while laying the lumber or dropping the gloves whenever necessary. He can reliably cover for his partner and forwards, enabling for significantly more risk taking and scoring chances on the offensive end.  While not the most fleet of foot he makes smart passes on the break out.

In addition, Fury is a sensational penalty killer (played on his Jr teams top PK unit), contributing greatly towards his teams success in the penalty killing department. Without Fury’s stout shot-blocking abilities and defensive awareness, the penalty kill and overall defense would ultimately suffer substantially.   He was relied upon heavily in all situations for the weak Jr squad, logging especially key minutes on the penalty kill and shutting down his opponent’s top line. When Ken Fury went down due to injury his team went from 3rd in PK to near bottom showing his ability to anchor the penalty kill. While Ken's abilities as a defender are notably solid, his offensive prowess frequently receives minimal recognition. Playing predominantly penalty killing and 2nd pairing minutes, alongside a relatively mediocre partner on defense, Fury’s season offensively was undoubtedly decent.  The are concerns after an UCL tear half way through the season so there are questions if his skating will come back.

Pros: above average fluid skater, size and strength, great awareness, hockey IQ
Cons: injury history, may take too many penalties
