Speed 126
As of this article, the Prague Phantoms and the Riga Reign are tied in the race to become the King of the European Conference. Both teams are currently sitting at 55 points, with the Moscow Menace directly on their tails with 54 points. After Moscow the race falls off down to 42 points with the Malmo Nighthawks and Helsinki Titans on their tail with 41. Lastly we have HC Davos Dynamo falling short with only 34 points at the moment. Prague and Riga have been notably great on defense, both only allowing 106 goals against and happens to be the lowest goals against stat in the entire VHL. Meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum, Moscow has been scorching hot on offense with 136 goals for, leaving them with the 3rd most goals for in the VHL but somewhat lacking in the defensive end. With the conference race being so close, every game is important. Teams are starting to ramp up their play with physicality and intensity, and it's starting to look like playoff hockey. With the Trade Deadline looming, analysts are wondering if any of these teams are looking to make some moves in order to strengthen their push for the title of King of the European Conference. Whether or not teams change anything, one thing is clear; the race for King is going to be a close one.
