When it comes to the Victory Hockey League, there is a lot that drew me in when I started. First of all, it was the first sim league I'd ever heard of. I remember hearing about it in a YouTube video. I forgot which video it was but it seemed like fun. Unlike other simulations I searched up, this one was more like a be a pro sim rather than team/gm hockey league sims I found. It seemed like it would be fun to make my own hockey player and try to rise to the top.

So around the month of June 2018, I decided to join. The first thing that got my attention was the community. Everybody was great and friendly and the community is still great today! There are a lot of people willing to help and they can help you get used to the Victory Hockey League life. I remember that when I posted my first Media Spot, I accidentally posted it at as VHL.com article. And another thing about the VHL is that once you learn the ropes, it becomes routine and it gets easier to know what to do. It might be confusing when you start off but with time and the help of members, the process will become easier.

Speaking of the great members, I'd like to talk about some of the players and members who played a big part when I first started. Beaviss was the one who kickstarted Ryuu Crimson and helped me get used to it. Gooningitup became my first GM and was my first big booster. He kickstarted Ryuu Crimson's VHLM career in Season 61. He was a great supporter and thought about benefitting his players. Shawn Glade was also a great GM when I was traded to the Halifax 21st and helped me out a lot during Ryuu's time in Davos. We almost made it all the way but fell short to the Ottawa Lynx and Kallis Kriketers. The next season, Ryuu went to Riga, where Kallis and the member that owned him, hedgehog was. Hedgehog was a great GM for us and he helped us all a lot as we won the championship in S62. I also have to mention Tagger, who is a great member. I have a lot of memories with him from Riga and his player currently plays with mine in Calgary. Victor was also a great teammate in Riga. I'd mention a crap ton more of players and members but that would make this too long.

Another great part about the VHL is how immersive it is. There is a lot of ways to be part of the community and leave your mark. There are a ton of jobs and roles you can take. You have a bunch of options when it comes to building your player. Every member and player is unique and it is a fun league to play in thanks to these different people coming together to sim the game we love.

So, even if the premise seems boring, I'd tell people to try it out. If it's not their taste, so be it. But it can be very fun once you give it a chance.
