Saskatoon winger Timothy Brown is excited to have been chosen in the upcoming World Junior Championships, of which he played in last season as well. However, this season he will play a much more prominent role for Canada. Last year Brown played third line minutes and only recorded a goal and an assist the entirety of the tournament. This year will be different, as he is expected to be among the top line forwards for Canada.

Canada’s main force on the offense will be none other than the S72 first overall selection, SS Hornet. Hornet currently plays for Davos and leads all rookies in the VHL, with 25 points. Perhaps the most important part of the team will be the defense. Of the defensemen selected, 3 of them, Walker, Letang and Flaten, are among the top 5 in VHLM scoring for defensemen.

With this season’s WJC kicking off tomorrow, Canada is hoping to make a stronger impression. They were only able to claim Bronze last year, and will surely be shooting for gold this season.
