SlapshotWrangler 864
CALGARY - It was a sad day for Calgarians. In the second Continental Cup finals that the Calgary Wranglers have reached in three seasons, they lost to the Riga Reign in five games. Despite their hard fought battles in the first two rounds which both went to game 7s, Calgary ended up falling in the end. “Riga just played amazing. And Eagles was lights out. Our guys were fighting hard and doing well. Heck, I had a decent series but I just didn’t make enough saves. It was a great season for us and we made it so far but in the end, we just couldn’t pull it off.” Jacques Lafontaine said after the game. However, it’s not all doom and gloom as this is just a glimpse of what Calgary will be able to do in the future. “I know that we’ll be back there someday. And when we do, we’ll be the ones lifting the cup in the end.” Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/86987-down-but-not-completely-out/ Share on other sites
