a_Ferk 766
The D.C. Dragons were able to narrowly hang on in game 5 and bring the series to 3-2. The key player in the game was Stone Wolski, who faced 54 shots from the Seattle Bears but managed to stop 51 of them and lead his team to a 5-3 victory. He finished the game with a .944 save percentage, but was robbed of a star by STHS. Other notable performances by D.C. players included Luciano Valentino and Mikko Aaltonen. Valentino had two goals and an assist, while Aaltonen had a 5 on 5 goal and an empty net goal. If the Dragons continue to get outshot like they have been, it is pretty likely that the Bears will find a way to close out the series. Having your goaltender face 50+ shots a night and expecting to win just isn’t going to cut it for the Dragons. If Seattle can find a way to solve Wolski, they will be able to finish the series in dominating fashion.
