DragonFire420 17
During a discussion about his involvement in a youth center program for hockey, Michael Fletcher was asked about his feelings on several hockey related topics. Below are some quotes from that interview: When asked about his thoughts on the playoffs, splitting starting time with Hasek, and the draft: “Honestly haven’t really looked. I know we’re out of it and I know it’s going to be a longer offseason, especially with the split in goal now but that’s what it is. I can’t say I’m happy about any of it but that’s what it is. Good luck to the teams going on to the playoffs in a few weeks here and as for the draft, it’s an unknown right now. We’ll see where everything falls.” When asked if there were any differences between what he expected versus how the season has turned out: “I’m not happy to be fair. I know we’re in a league with a lot of great players but I felt initially that I wasn’t going to penalized for not being an active member of Discord and honestly after a couple weeks I had already sorta lost the starting job to the new guy. I realize statistically it’s been a rough season but you look at my actual play, there’s a lot there to work with we just haven’t found the right combination. I’ll be rooting for Dommy to get some wins, it’s just a tough situation to be in.” When asked about where he’d like to go in the draft: “It doesn’t really matter to me. I’ll always want to help Moose out so that’ll always be in the back pocket as a first choice but I know I could go anywhere. And Moose will take care of me, he offered to move me if he could and I said I would stay in San Diego. If I’m going to stay in San Diego though I really want a team here. I knew what this season would be but I’d like the effort to mean more than 30+ losses next year. But that’s on Moose and the GM.” Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/93565-highlights-from-fletcher-interview/ Share on other sites
