ThePerfectNut 563
There's only 4 games left, but I don't think it will impact there stats that much. Onde Sandstrom rookie season: Through 68 games, the scoring hitting maching standing at 6'8 found the back in the net 14 (3 of them being on the PP) times this season with 17 apples, 31 points in total (6 of them on the PP). He shot the puck 160 times towards the net, but that gives him a low shooting percentage of 8.75%. He held his own defensively by being a +17 on a contender team in the Vancouver Wolves and currently got himself 164 hits in the year, but he had to serve in the box 94 minutes. He also got 8 blocked shots and got himself a 36% face-off%. He was never the first start of the game. He got 1 time second star of the game. He got 2 times third star of the game. Not the kind of season he wanted, but it's decent enough for being on a conteding team as a depth player. Luke Thornton rookie season: Through 68 games played, the pure playmaker somehow got 16 goals with 27 apples for 43 points in the year. He shot the puck 147 times toward the net, but that gives him a 11.68% percentage. He held his own on a rookie line by being a +5 on a playoff team with the Calgary Wranglers and he currently got himself 175 hits in the year and he only served 62 minutes in the box. He got himself 8 blocked shots and 3 game winning goals. He also got a 32% on the face-off. He was 4 times 1st star of the game. He was 4 times 2nd star of the game. He was 3 times third star of the game. He's enjoying his time in Calgary and he his excited to get even more responsiblities next year. In conclusion: Onde Sandstrom could hit 35 points and Luke Thornton got a shot to hit 50 points. We can see that Luke Thornton stats are superior in most of the categories, but Onde Sandstrom got a better presence on and off the ice with his teammates. It comes down to preference, but gotta give the edge to Luke Thornton because we can't just neglect the stats that people put in the work for. VHLM Season 1: Onde Sandstrom Season 2: Luke Thornton WJC 1st WJC: Luke Thornton 2nd WJC: Luke Thornton/Onde Sandstrom. It all comes down to stats so prove me otherwise with the stats** Edited October 20, 2020 by Jtv123 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/93774-luke-thornton-vs-onde-sandstrom-a-brotherly-rivarly-season-1/ Share on other sites
