Taking a quick peak at the Phantoms contract situation going into S75, there's the very real possibility that the team will look much different than it currently does. At forward, there are currently 6 forwards under contract going into next season compared to 9 currently under contract. The fate of Alex Pearson will be simple, as he's retiring. However, Ben McGirr and Gary Tarantino are current scheduled to be unrestricted free agents. McGirr has 1 season left in his career, while Tarantino has at most 2. At defense, the only player with a contract going into next season is Wolf Stannson Jr. Block, Perry, and Knight Gee are all scheduled to become unrestricted free agents. Block has two seasons left in his career, Perry has one, and Knight Gee has many more. At goal, Woody McPine is likely to be the starting goalie for the Phantoms. Poremba is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. It will most likely be up to Poremba to decide if he is content with being a back-up on a middling contender or if he'd rather try to his luck elsewhere in the hope of landing a starting job.
