QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC – Another year older, another year wiser. This has the be the words running through the minds of all the Quebec City Meute players coming into this season. After a few acquistions including highly touted prospect Wesley Kellinger, franchise goaltender Skyler Rift and the high scoring Yuri Griogrenko, the Meute finally established themselves as a playoff contender last season, when they finished first overall in the North American conference.

As everyone is quick to point out though, the regular season means absolutely nothing when the “real” season begins, the playoffs. Quebec City was ousted in a full seven game series in the second round by the Calgary Wranglers, and it left Quebec City in a limbo of sorts – good enough to finish atop it’s conference, but not good enough to win the cup.

Now, after an offseason of hard training trying to get over the hump, the Meute are raring to go and get Season 35 underway. With a relatively young team, and the second highest average TPE number, Quebec City should finally be able to make a legitimate push for the Continental Cup.
