ThePerfectNut 563
After a tough playoff series against the D.C Dragons where Luke Thornton did not record a single point and that his team got swept. He went back to Sweden to pass some time with his family while watching his brother, Onde Sandstrom, lifting the cup for the Vancouver Wolves. Thornton was very happy for him, but at the same time he was uncertain about Calgary future at that point because of the retirement of two big pieces from the team, Scott Greene and Sigard Gunnar. Then this happened... Only a couple of hours when the off-season started, Luke laying on his couch. Seeing this in the news, IHedid not believe it at first. He had to make some phone calls to confirm the great news. Calgary got the best player from last season Patrik Tallinder, an upcoming star d-men in DeFenz Mann and other news that the coach will play Edwin THE Encarnacion on offence and possibly a lottery pick next year for all of our picks from the S75 draft. I almost died from happiness. Luke Thornton: ''I'm really excited to play next season. Playing alongside the Patrik Tallinder sounds amazing. I can learn some stuff from him and become a better player with him. I'm also very happy to play with Askarov and Byrne, they are great prospect in my class that will only help our team be better. A lot of people are thinking that I'm still sad ending up falling 10 spots in the draft, but I fell to team where I can have success for most of my years if I do my part. Anyway, I gotta catch a flight to participate in Laine and Z's off-season tournament. I'll see you guys later" Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/94872-luke-thornton-excited-for-next-season/ Share on other sites
