It's a tradition for Halifax 21st to, instead of asking the rookies to accept the contract with 'I accept', ask the rookies to accept the contract with the phrase 'Boat Gang', a common phrase used to cheer on the Halifax 21st.

One player who decided to accept a contract with Halifax who shows promise is called Loic Trepanier who will serve as a back up goalie for the team. Already Loic has been interacting with the team, asking for help and has been spotted doing practice. This is a good sign for a player when they have only joined up within a few days. Riley is looking forward to the player's future on the team and wishes them the best.
